Bahkan ada yang menganggap keduanya memiliki arti yang sama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Padahal, populasi dan sampel adalah dua konsep dasar dalam metodologi penelitian yang memiliki fungsi berbeda. Kesalahan dalam menentukan populasi atau sampel bisa membuat hasil penelitian menjadi kurang valid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kalau kamu sedang menyusun skripsi atau proposal penelitian, memahami perbedaan keduanya adalah langkah penting agar penelitianmu berjalan lebih terarah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yuk, kita bahas dengan bahasa yang sederhana dan mudah dipahami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Apa_Itu_Populasi\"><\/span><strong>Apa Itu Populasi?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Populasi adalah seluruh objek, individu, atau kelompok yang memiliki karakteristik tertentu dan menjadi sasaran penelitian.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sederhananya, populasi adalah <strong>keseluruhan &#8220;anggota&#8221; yang ingin diteliti<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Populasi tidak selalu berarti jumlah yang sangat besar. Selama seluruh anggota memiliki karakteristik yang sama dengan tujuan penelitian, semuanya termasuk populasi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Contoh Populasi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Misalnya kamu meneliti:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;Pengaruh Literasi Keuangan Syariah terhadap Minat Menabung Mahasiswa STAI Kuningan.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maka populasinya adalah:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Seluruh mahasiswa STAI Kuningan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jika jumlah mahasiswa sebanyak 1.200 orang, maka seluruh 1.200 mahasiswa itulah yang disebut populasi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Apa_Itu_Sampel\"><\/span><strong>Apa Itu Sampel?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sampel adalah sebagian anggota dari populasi yang dipilih untuk mewakili keseluruhan populasi dalam penelitian.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karena meneliti seluruh populasi sering kali membutuhkan banyak waktu, biaya, dan tenaga, peneliti biasanya mengambil sebagian anggota yang dianggap mampu mewakili populasi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Contoh Sampel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dari populasi sebanyak 1.200 mahasiswa, peneliti hanya mengambil:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>120 mahasiswa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>atau 200 mahasiswa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>atau 300 mahasiswa<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maka jumlah tersebut disebut <strong>sampel penelitian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hasil penelitian terhadap sampel nantinya digunakan untuk menggambarkan kondisi populasi secara Kuantitatif<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Umumnya menggunakan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Populasi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sampel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teknik sampling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karena data diperoleh dari banyak responden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Penelitian Kualitatif<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Biasanya menggunakan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Informan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Narasumber.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partisipan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Penelitian kualitatif lebih menekankan kedalaman informasi daripada jumlah responden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Kapan_Harus_Menggunakan_Populasi_Seluruhnya\"><\/span><strong>Kapan Harus Menggunakan Populasi Seluruhnya?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ada kondisi tertentu ketika semua anggota populasi dijadikan responden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hal ini disebut <strong>penelitian populasi<\/strong> atau <strong>sensus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Misalnya:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jumlah guru di sebuah madrasah hanya 28 orang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karena jumlahnya sedikit, seluruh guru dapat dijadikan responden penelitian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dengan begitu, peneliti tidak perlu mengambil sampel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Menentukan sampel tidak boleh dilakukan secara asal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ada beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Tentukan Populasi Terlebih Dahulu<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Misalnya:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Populasi = 800 mahasiswa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2.
